I do not speak or have no knowledge of German/French. Can I get a job using only my English language skills?No, unfortunately not. A minimum of B2 proficiency in the German/French language is required for entry into Germany, Austra, Switzerland or Belgium. The acquisition of the B2 language level can take place in Germany, although this depends on our clients. The B2 level of German proficiency is necessary for the recognition process in Germany. However, we conduct interviews in the English language before the start of your German/French language course.

Where can I learn the German / French language?German language can be acquired through the Goethe Institute in your home country or any German language school in your home country - the examinations should be taken at the Goethe Institute. The French language can be acquired from the Alliance Francaise in your home country or from any French language school in your home country - the examinations should be taken at the Alliance Francaise. Is MediNurse Language Academy free?No, it is not completely free. Each candidate/student pays a monthly fee of 30 euros per month. Each student in the online course must sit the B1 and B2 German/French exams at the Goethe/Alliance Francaise Institute in order to obtain the Goethe B1/B2 or B1/B2 DELF certificate. What other documents should I submit for the Nursing Recruitment Programme?After your CV and Nursing Certificates has been assessed, you will be requested to submit the following documents: Birth certificate Marriage certificate (by change of name) Bachelor of Science in Nursing Working licence as a Nurse Proof of completion of internship Transcripts, including the final examination. How much do I have to pay for the whole process?MediNurse has a NO FEE policy for nurses, which means there are NO placement fees and NO payroll deductions. There is a small Commitment Fee charged to the candidates to avoid drop outs during the process or agency hopping candidates. -------Year 2025-------

How long does the whole process take?The time it takes to reach the required level of German depends on your individual progress and effort. German language up to B1/B2 level - varies individually (can take 6-9 months) French language upto B2 level - varies individually (can take up 6-9 months) Recognition of your documents - (3-6 months) (this is always done at the same time as you are learning the German / French language) Embassy appointment (2-3 months, depending on availability) The majority of candidates typically arrive in Germany within an 8-9 month timeframe, involving participation in highly intensive German/French language courses.

What is the Recognition Process?In order to work in Germany/Belgium as a nurse, you need a professional licence recognition. In order to obtain a professional licence recognition, your foreign nursing diploma/BSN/MSN must be recognised in the respective countries. The states in Germany/Belgium will check whether your foreign nursing diploma is equivalent to the German/Belgian nursing profession. Your work experience in the profession is also important

What happens when i have a deficit on my certificatesIf there are significant differences between the two certificates (your foreign diploma and the German/Belgian nursing certificate), you will be offered either a knowledge test or an adaptation course. The knowledge test is organised and carried out by state-recognised schools in accordance with the Nursing Act. It consists of a practical examination (nursing situation of an in-patient) and an oral examination (based on nursing studies). The adaptation course ends with a final practical and oral examination on the content of the course. During the adaptation measures you will work as a nurse assistant until you have successfully completed the knowledge test or adaptation course.

Will I be paid a salary while I take the knowledge test or while I attend the adaptation course?It is important to note that the adaptation measures take place during working hours. You will work as a nursing assistant until the end of the adaptation measure (adaptation course or knowledge test) and will receive your gross monthly salary of approximately €2,600 - €2,800 plus allowances.

What is the salary range for a Registered Nurse working in Germany/Belgium?Your GROSS monthly salary as a recognized nurse is 3100 Euros to € 3400 Euros (Allowances not included). That is for a normal working hours of 38.5 hours per week. Do I need health insurance?Yes, indeed. We will enrol you with a German health insurance company before you start work so that you are covered from the moment you start work, as this is compulsory in these countries.

What about accomodation? Is accomodation provided?Of course, a shared apartment will be arranged for you initially. You can usually stay there for the duration of the recognition process or probationary period. After that, you'll need to find permanent accommodation. MediNurse, the hospital or nursing home can assist you with this process. Accommodation costs vary depending on the region and can range from €400 to €800 for a room. -------Year 2025-------

Who is responsible for the payment of the monthly rent for my accommodation?Once you start work and move into your accommodation, you will be responsible for paying your rent each month. The first month's rent will be paid by MediNurse or your employer and you will reimburse this from your second month's salary.

Will I get a temporary/permanent contract?This varies. After an initial 6-month probationary period, you may be offered a fixed-term contract. These contracts are gradually extended to permanent or indefinite contracts, depending on your integration into the workplace and your work performance.

What is the Nursing Apprenticeship Program?MediNurse offers the opportunity to train as a nurse in Germany. The apprenticeship programme in Germany combines theoretical classes at a vocational school with practical work in a German hospital or nursing home. One of the advantages of this dual training is that you will receive a monthly training allowance from the hospital or care home that employs you.

What is the duration of the nursing apprenticeship?Becoming a nurse in Germany involves a three-year dual apprenticeship. In Germany, people who have completed their secondary education have the option of doing a vocational apprenticeship instead of a full-time academic education. This apprenticeship system is highly regulated and involves a combination of working in a hospital or nursing home and attending a vocational school. How much do i earn during the apprenticeship course?Currently (2025/26), apprentices in their first year of training earn at least €1190 gross per month. The amount increases in the subsequent two years, with apprentices in the second and third year earning up to around €1450 gross per month. The actual allowance may vary depending on the employer and the city where the apprenticeship is undertaken.
